Laser Body Contouring with ZERONA

The Zerona laser is the first non-invasive body contouring procedure to effectively remove excess fat. The low-level laser works by causing stored fat to be released from fat cells. Treatment involves an average of six sessions over a two week period. Patients lie on a table for 40 minutes (20 minutes front and 20 minutes back), while the laser does its job. The average result has been 3 to 9 inches lost from waists, hips and thighs with the six sessions.

Needle Free Vaccines with the OBJ Patch

Last week the OBJ Patch listed in our products directory received a few hundred hits temporarily making it the most popular product in the directory. It has since been overtaken again by the 'Biotooth'. Product popularity in the directory is measured by number of hits.

The OBJ patch is able to deliver vaccines through the skin by the use of a disposable electronic patch. Anyone who has had to take toddlers to the doctors for vaccinations would appreciate the advantage of this. The OBJ home page even has a picture of a child with a smiley face patch on their arm. Although not available yet, it is close to commercialization with a few large companies including 3M testing it out.

It sounds hard to believe, however its custom designed and fitted to create better joint alignment from the jaw to the spine. With a cost of around $2000 you can see why its for the pro's.

JDRF who are working on an Artificial Pancreas for type 1 diabetes have announced they successful tested for safety and efficacy the use of an extra hormone 'glucagon', in addition to insulin. Top Fitness Apps for the iPad

top ipad fitness appsWith the release of the iPad, there is also a flood of new apps coming out for it. A lot of the top fitness apps for the iphone were based on pedometers and GPS tracking, so those functions aren't too practical with the bigger ipad. However, the bigger screen is a great platform for virtual training.

Another trend is the emergence of sensor accessories that go along with the virtual training apps. Like the EA sports Active 2.0 app that will be coming out later in the year. The sensors connect via bluetooth and can monitor your movements as well as heart rate. By receiving feedback from sensors, the virtual trainers can better know how you're performing. MedAnywhere is more of a medical app, but it also has Bluetooth accessories that allow for blood pressure, temperature and heart rate measurements to be taken.
