Silk'n is an over-the-counter device with FDA cleared indications for removal of unwanted hair. The device utilizes the highly sophisticated and new Home Pulsed Light technology based on a synergetic combination of different energy types. The efficacy is comparable to a professional laser, with low optical energy to ensure safety. The safety sensor built-in ensures only appropriate skin types use Silk'n. The Silk'n SensEpil is a light-based, long-term laser hair removal device enabling full leg treatments in less than 30 minutes.
Its does come with some warnings including
- Not recommended for use on the face.
- Do not use on tanned skin or after recent sun exposure.
- Do not use on naturally dark skin.

When using Silk'n SensEpil laser hair removal device for the first time the skin should be shaved, clean, dry and free of any powders, antiperspirants or deodorants. The first 3-4 hair removal sessions will be approximately two weeks apart. After that, treat again when hair starts growing back. Hair removal sessions 5-7 will typically be approximately four weeks apart, and later sessions, from time to time if and when needed, during the 18-24 months of a full hair growth cycle.
