Food may or may not contribute to an ulcer. Certain foods and drinks should be avoided if they make your ulcer pain worse. Fresh pineapple juice should be taken after a meal for preventing acidity.

Bananas, watermelon and cucumber have protective action against the acidity and heart burn.
