Free Listings and Exposure For Cosmetic Surgeons, Beauticians and Personal Trainers

This website has been upgraded to a newer format meaning that when users register they can now choose if they are a cosmetic surgeon, beautician or personal trainer or just a curious patient. A practitioner who registers to this site can now browse the directory and select all the products they offer or procedures they perform. The benefit for them to do this is that they will appear underneath each directory listing they offer. The benefit for people browsing is that they can now be connected with practitioners as well as continuing to find information about products and procedures.

Upgradeyourbody.com is different to any other site in that our directory is made up of products and procedures, and registered members can then associate their accounts with those offerings. Other sites are simply directories of businesses. We are also unique in that we combine surgical procedures, fitness and gadgets. Both practitioners and customers who register as members are encouraged to add to content accuracy by updating directory listings or gain exposure for themselves by submitting news articles related to themselves and products.

If you have any questions, problems or suggestions with the new site format please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or comment below.

News Articles Are Back

Upgrade Your Body NewsAfter a three month trial of the biotech directory being the home page and source of news, I've decided that upgrade your body will adopt the form of news articles in the form of directory listings. This makes us different from many other news sources in that we now collect all our news into the directory. When a directory listing is updated is gets shown at the top of the home page.

Directory listings (which are also news articles) will be posted to facebook and twitter.

If you would like to submit any biotech, cosmetic or fitness related news, create an account to publish your content. Click to learn more about our biotech directory. You can also submit articles/blogs for free.

Build Your Wishlist

Some new features have been added to UpgradeYourBody that are aimed at improving your profile page.

The search at the top has been replaced by "What would you like to upgrade?" Its still basically a search box but the question prompts you to put in a body part. The results have been optimized to match body parts with products.

Click on the results and you'll notice another new feature. The option to add to your wishlist. (only if logged in). You can add as many directory listings as you like to your wishlist which will then show in your profile. You can also show a list of products you've used by adding reviews to them. Anything you review gets added to your list of 'upgrades to date' in your profile. View a sample profile here.

And if you can't find your favourite product you can simply add it to the directory. Browse to any category and add a listing.

Top Ten Rated Biotech Products For 2010

This year we thought we'd put together the results of our Biotech Directory Top Ten ranked by rating. Now that the directory has been there for around two years, its interesting to see these dynamic results. Anyone can submit products to the directory for free and even include links where to buy them from. You can view all products sorted by rating here.

1)The Pinpointe Footlaser is designed to kill fungus infections which can be traditionally difficult to remove. A laser light passes through the toenail without causing damage to the nail or the surrounding skin. Clinical studies have shown that the PinPointe FootLaser reduces fungal infection and promotes clear nail growth with a single treatment.

2) VNS Therapy by Cyberonics, Inc, VNS therapy is a stimulation implant where electrodes are wrapped around the vagus nerve in the neck. New Server

We are now hosted on a new server with more bandwidth and storage available so the site can now move on from the restrictions that were faced over the last few months. Unfortunately during the process the site had to be restored to a version that is about 6 weeks old. So apologies for any lost forum comments etc. I'll now spend some time over the next few days updating the directory entries and hopefully get this site back on track. The new increased disk space means many more products, images and videos can now be added in the future. You'll also notice the top menu has been re-arranged in a simpler way.

Site Restructure

Upgradeyourbody.com has just undergone a few changes where press release information will now only be shown inside the product directory listings. This means all listings in the directory are more factually accurate and will quote information from manufacturers themselves.  All original commentary or comparisons of products will be in the home page articles only. This separates the site into two sections. Articles for original commentary and products directory for factual information.

Since there will now be more focus on updating product information in the directory, articles may be written less frequently, however the products directory will updated more frequently. Any registered member can still submit products to the directory (including affiliate links) or submit articles as long as they conform to the editorial guide.

Poll Results - Which technology will have the most influence over the next century?

Although this is called the monthly poll I let this run for two months because I wanted to more accurately gauge the numbers and get an insight on what content to focus on in future.

So the Nov - Dec poll for 2009 asked the question 'Which technology will have the most influence over the next century?'

The results were:

56.1% said Stem Cells and Genetics

26.8% said Nanotechnology

12.2% said Bionics and Robotics

and only 4.9% said Cosmetic Procedures

Poll Results - Would you get a microchip implant for monitoring your health?

The monthly poll for October 09 asked the question,

"Would you get a microchip implant for monitoring your health?"

The results are 67% of people who responded said yes, 28% chose no way I'm never getting an implant and 4.8% said I'll wait until it develops a bit more. Although only 21 people voted this month its still an interesting result.

I personally thought a higher percentage would say no way, but then again people who visit this site are probably into that type of thing in the first place.
