At the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics being held in Germany, RSLSteeper has launched their new Bebionic hand. Bebionic will be available from distributors worldwide from June 2010. Rather than just a hand it is an entire system including advanced features and versatile software system called 'bebalance' with wireless programming to customise the functions of the hand to suit individual user needs.
 
It also comes with the option of 19 skin shades with 'True Finish micro-pigmentation' for additional depth and realism. And Individually crafted silicone nails are fitted to each skin in a choice of lengths to suit both male and female users.The next generation of fully articulated myo-electric hands will be launched at Leipzig Germany in May 2010. Complete with a range of naturally compliant grip patterns that provide repeatable accuracy, the powerful new hands combine innovative technology with life-like appearance.
 
Bebionic hands feature naturally compliant grip patterns combining innovative technology with life-like appearance. Functions of the hand such as speed, grip force and grip patterns may be custom programmed to suit individual user requirements through smart software and wireless technology. Lighter than existing products it will be available to the market at an affordable price. The bebionic range will also include the worlds first powered wrist with rotation as well as flexion/extension. Completing the range is an advanced silicone skin available in 19 skin shades.
