This suit was designed for the aging farmers in Japan to help reduce their workload. It includes 8 motors and weighs just under 40 pounds (18 kg). The power  assist suit is said to reduce the user's physical effort by about 62 percent. It should be in use by 2012, both for agricultural and other industries.

LOPES

The Dutch government has awarded large grants to fast-track the implementation of LOPES in practice by the end of 2011. Scientists at the University of Twente developed this robotic device called LOPES (Lower-extremity Powered Exoskeleton) is used to help stroke survivors walk again by providing gait training and assessment of motor function.
