Ultherapy™

71.jpg
Ultherapy utilizes ultrasound energy on the face and neck to lift and tighten the skin in a short, 30 - 60 minute procedure. It feels like "a series of tiny pinpricks". There is no need for anaesthesia and there is no down time after the procedure.  It works by delivering energy to a pre-determined depth in the tissue and creates "hot spots", deep under the skin, using focused ultrasound waves. They induce the body to start its repair process, creating new collagen that produces the tightening and lifting effect. Because it works by stimulating the growth of collagen in your body, the process is gradual over several months.

More than 1,100 Ultherapies have been performed worldwide since it was launched in 2009 in Europe. Ultherapy was FDA approved in September 2009 to provide a non-invasive eyebrow lift and to address loose and sagging skin around the brow.

Each machine is worth about $105,000. The estimated cost of treatment is about US$1,500 for a small area or $7,000 for a full face lift and results last for 10 to 12 months.
