Teeth Lately there are new products emerging that when applied to teeth encourage the teeth to regrow. So far the technology has appeared in tooth paste and chewing gums and will soon be soon and more and more products.

And Recaldent chewing gum which regenerates teeth is now the fastest growing gum company in Japan.

Toothpaste that Regenerates Teeth

A new breakthrough in tooth paste is expected to hit shelves this year. This new toothpaste is going not only curtail sensitivity problems but will also enable teeth to regrow to fill in small cavities. Scientists in various countries have developed differing technologies that produce similar results to deaden sensitivity and recalcify teeth, problems that have increasing significance as populations age. NovaMin repairs the tiny holes in teeth that allow the pain to happen, instead of just covering the sensation of pain.

It differs from market leader Sensodyne in that it doesn't just deaden a tooth's nerve endings but it actually builds a calcium shell to protect the nerves from painful hot and cold liquids.

Periproducts has licensed NovaMin technology from a Florida firm of the same name and hopes to be the first company to have it formulated in a retail brand in the UK later this year.

Periproducts plans to launch its new toothpaste in October 2007. The company wants to get its toothpaste with dentists and into the retail chain before the big names reformulate their products with NovaMin as well.

Chewing Gum That Regenerates Teeth

Recaldent was developed at the University of Melbourne in Australia. Britain's Cadbury Schweppes has acquired the worldwide rights to that technology. Currently they are using it in chewing gum. Recaldent chewing gum is now the fastest growing gum company in Japan and under Cadbury's Trident brand are also big sellers in both Thailand and Mexico.
