Site Mission: Our Mission is to deliver information on available and emerging technologies that enable people to 'upgrade their bodies'. This covers topics ranging from diet and fitness, through to cosmetic procedures, bionics and stem cells. The articles tend to be commentary, opinions and comparisons of products and procedures we come across from press releases or that already exist in our directory.

Directory: The directory is a collection of fitness gadgets, biotechnology products and procedures that we have come across or that are submitted by members. Registered members can submit or review listings for free. All new listings are reviewed to ensure they comply with our editorial guidelines.

Authors: UpgradeYourBody is owned by Consolidated Computing Pty. Ltd. and operated by Josh White. Josh White is a technology and fitness advocate, not a doctor, and is the primary author of all articles and directory listings. Where the user Siteadmin has listed a product or procedure in the directory it is the same as Josh White and therefore again not a doctor. Registered members can also submit articles but they are first reviewed to ensure they comply with our editorial guidelines.

Community: The community section is comprised of the forums, social groups, video links and photo sharing. All comments and social activities are moderated occasionally and posteriorly. Moderators on this website are volunteers and have the usernames 'SiteAdmin' and 'Josh'. Internet users posting comments on articles, in the forums or in any social groups should not be considered as health professionals. Comments posted on this site should be designed to support, not replace, the relationship that exists between a patient/site visitor and his/her existing physician.

We remind you that everyone can read and use your comments. You do not have the possibility to erase your own comments although you can request their removal. Moderators reserve the right to erase, without notification, any comment they would judge inappropriate.

Internet users posting comments must post information which are true and correct to their knowledge. Sources to health/medical claims must be provided when relevant. Internet users may not post any commercial/advertising comments. These types of comments will be removed. If you would like to share or promote a product, please submit it to the directory and it will be reviewed.

Advertising: UpgradeYourBody.com hosts advertisement banners and sponsored links. These advertisements appear on the right hand side and bottom of the pages. These are separated from article content. Banner ads are not controlled by Upgradeyourbody.com but are delivered automatically in a contextual way to the editorial content and are filtered to avoid inappropriate content such as adult material.

Directory listings marked as featured means they contain a link to an affiliate site such as Amazon.com. Featured listings are carefully selected for compatibility and appropriate content. Featured directory listings are labelled as "Featured" next to the listing title as well as the entire listing being highlighted in a different color. Remember you can submit any product to our directory for free. If you prefer to display banner ads on the home page, article pages and directory pages, then please read on.

If you are a product manufacturer or an affiliate, you can register just like any other member and submit yourproducts into our directory for free. Products are easily approved as long as they do include a link to the manufacturer which can verify any claims made. Once in our directory it will be displayed on a popularity basis meaning it will only be shown in its category in order of popularity. Popularity is judged on a combination of number of hits or visits as well as ratings. This is free for anyone. No cost at all. Click here to register and submit products for free!!

Featured Directory Listing

To have your product or procedure appear in the top right hand corner as a featured listing you can apply to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Featured listings are more likely to appear on pages with simliar content so be sure to add keywords to your listing.

Directory Guide

The Directory

The directory is a collection of medical devices and technologies that can be used to upgrade your body. Registered members can submit listings for free, rate products, favor products and write reviews. The higher a product is rated and favored overall, the higher in the category list they will appear. No one can pay or have any influence in the rating of a product. Hits and ratings are the results of natural web traffic. It has been designed this way so the average person can select what they'd like done and then compare and further research the entries in order of most popular.

Any logged in member can submit a product that matches the categories of the directory. The entries are usually medical devices, implants or the machines that are used to perform procedures. We encourage members to contribute to the directory by submitting as often as they like. The listings themselves should be factual only. Comments, opinions and experiences can be added as reviews. When submitting a listing you can add the listing to multiple categories that match the product.

There are two ways to get your product shown to hundreds of thousand of visitors!

$0 Submit any product free. Once approved it gets listed for free. It will be ranked by number of hits and ratings.

If you are a product manufacturer, you can register just like any other member and submit your favourite product into our directory. Click here to register and submit products. If you can't find a suitable category for a product you can suggest one by clicking the 'suggest a category link'. The new category will appear in the directory once approved by the administrator.

$10 - Submit a product with link to buy. Once approved it gets listed as featured. Affiliate links are OK. It will again be ranked by number of hits.

Note your link is still reviewed and needs approval by moderators. A buy now link in the directory can link to your own website or affiliate page. The cost of this 'featured' directory listing is $10 US dollars. It must be noted that this type of entry is featured with highlighted colors, and has a link to your buy now page, but it's ranking in our directory is still based on the number of hits. This means that it is still ranked by natural popularity. Our goal is no matter what popularity cannot be bought.

Increasing Traffic and Hits

To get more hits, try to write unique information. Search engines will send more traffic to listings that are unique as opposed to copy and pasting from somewhere else. Another way to get more hits is to update your listing often. By adding news or new information your listing will move to the top of the recenly updated listings page which is also our home page.

Removal of Products

Upgradeyourbody.com is committed to not breaking any copyright infringements. We aim to allways get permission from each company first before uploading their logos or images. If you are submitting a company or business that you do not belong to, please do not upload such images without permission of the owner. You can upload basic information like product name, manufacturer, a brief description and youtube video if available.

If a company or business finds themselves already listed in the directory they can browse to their listing and click the 'claim' button. A message will be sent to the siteadmin for approval. Once approved the new owner can update, correct, or delete.

Refund Policy

In the unlikely event that a company wants to claim or remove a listing they own the rights to and someone else has paid to list it with an affiliate link, the 'siteadmin' will resolve the dispute by refunding the amount paid depending on how long it has been published (based on percentage of 1 year). For example 6 months is entitled to 50% refund.

Community Guide

Community Page shows Latest Members, Recent Activities of the UpgradeYourBody community and Recent Group Activities.

Profile page is where your personal profile and your applications will be displayed. A User Profile picture can be displayed from your images and it will be automatically resized.

The top on the right side of the page display your profile details. You may edit it through the edit button. Under the Profile details, shows the status updates of your Friends and a button to list all your friends

Your profile name will display some details. Karma, Member since, Last online and Profile view(s). Below them, you may update your status, such as what are you currently up to, etc. This board will also update you with any incoming message or friend request.

Moving on, you will find four modules buttons. First is "invite friends" button to allow you invite friends from your contact email by keying in your friend email. Next are "Add Photos", "Add Apps" and "Start a Group" Button.

Other than above, the Profile page also display other details. First is the update of the users latest activities. Continued with the list of applications that you have added on.

Karma

Karma is a user point-system used at UpgradeYourBody. It shows how active you are. Karma will only be activated only when you have uploaded a picture in your user profile. Otherwise, you will forever have no Karma points.

Groups

Under the groups tab, shows which groups you currently join. You will only be able to see the Groups if you have added the Groups application. Go to Application ---> Edit, and add the Groups application.

Photos

Shows images you have uploaded to your Profile. You will only see images if you have added the Photos application. Go to Application ---> Edit, and add the Photos application.

Wall

In Wall, you and your friends (at current time of writing, others too) are able to leave a comment on your Profile Page. You will only see the comments if you have added the Walls application. Go to Application ---> Edit, and add the Walls application.

Applications

There are many applications at UpgradeYourBody. You can choose which application you would like to have on your account.

To see the list of applications, go to Application --> Browse

To edit it, go to Application --> Edit. Here, you will be able to:

1. find out what are these applications for

2. setting each of the application based on your preferences

3. set the arrangement of applications by dragging it (ctrl + drag up or down).

4. adjust the privacy setting of each application

5. remove the application that you do not want to use

Personal Messaging

UpgradeYourBody personal messaging system allows you to send a message to any site members easily. There are 2 ways to send a message, via your own inbox or by click on user's profile and write a message.

Groups

You can join and participate in groups easily. Before you can post on the group wall or create a discussion, you will first need to become a member of the group. Click the "Join Now" to join your group.

To manage Group that you joined, go to Application --> Group.

Here, you can view the current groups, search a group as well as view groups that you have joined. You can also create a new group.

Groups

Announcement

Announcements lists all bulletins you with to make to the group. Announcements does not support replies. Only Group founder can Create Bulletin for Announcements.

Discussion

Discussion lists all discussions anyone posts in the groups. Discussions support replies from group members.

Wall

Wall supports Wall posts from members of a group. Wall also supports Syret (hence youtube videos). Only Group founder can Remove Wall posts.

Photos & Media

To manage your photos, go to Application --> Media.

Here, you can upload new photos, browse them and create photo albums.

Privacy Policy

How does Upgradeyourbody.com use the information you provide?

Upgradeyourbody.com will never sell or give away your personal information to any other person, company or organisation, unless required by law.

If you register as a member, your profile data is only shared with other Upgradeyourbody.com members if you allow so on you the privacy tab of your profile page. By default this is enabled. However your email address is never shown.

We will only ever share demographic data in relation to advertisers on an aggregate or collective basis. For example, we might tell an advertiser that 25% of our members live in a particular country, or that 10% of our members have indicated an interest in cosmetic procedures. However, we will never tell any 3rd party your name, your postal address or your email address and other such information.

Why does Upgradeyourbody.com record IP Addresses?

When a user signs in as a member to the site, our logs record the IP address. In the event that we detect any serious abuse, we may use the IP address of the offender to take action against them. Ultimately this ensures greater protection for you and your personal information.

We are a health website that purposely avoids the topic of disease cures because we believe diseases and aging are one in the same. If you have any products or perform procedures that match our interests you're welcome to submit your news.
